We are pleased to announce the launch of the VALEUS Massive Open Online Course (MOOC): Values in European Union Foreign Policy, developed within the framework of the Research & Education Network on Contestations to EU Foreign Policy (VALEUS).

This free online course offers in-depth, interdisciplinary training on the conceptual, methodological, and policy-oriented findings of the VALEUS project. It examines the central role of values in the European Union’s foreign policy and the various ways these values are understood, applied, and contested both within and beyond Europe.

 

Course Highlights:

  • Interdisciplinary Structure: The course is divided into three parts:
    1. Understanding and Theorising EU Foreign Policy
    2. Values in EU Foreign Policy
    3. Contestations of Values in EU Foreign Policy
  • Contributions from a network of 20 partner institutions across five continents, offering diverse perspectives on the EU and its global role
  • Targeted at decision-makers, development professionals, researchers, students, and others interested in democracy, human rights, peace, justice, and global governance

 

Participation Requirements:
Participants are expected to complete assigned readings, view lecture videos, and engage with course materials before progressing to subsequent modules.

 

Certification:
A final assessment will be administered at the end of the course. Participants who successfully complete it will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
